There’s a good chance that you have run across the specified snack foods, such as Atkins bars if you are following the Atkins diet. Atkins bars are exactly in line with the Atkins diet because they are low in carbohydrates and high in protein. These bars are very similar to their energy bar predecessor, the Power Bars. These bars are ideal for people who are trying to follow the diet guidelines while leading a busy lifestyle.

These energy bars come in two different varieties, the Advantage bars and the Morning Start bars. To be honest, I’m really not sure if there is any difference in the content and vitamins that are offered in them.
 
The Advantage Atkins bars come in different flavors that include chocolate mocha, coconut brownie, peanut butter granola, and caramel fudge brownie.On the other hand, Morning Start Atkins bars come in more morning friendly flavors such as oatmeal raisin, mixed berry and cranberry almond. I personally prefer the Advantage bars because I have a sweet tooth.

You can eat these bars as a meal replacement or as a high calorie snack.  However, you have to be careful if you are using these bars as snacks because they are quite high in calories.
 
If you are trying to cut back on calories and while increasing your protein intake, then these bars may do a disservice to you. If you are solely using Atkins bars as a meal replacement, then you should be in very good shape because these bars are comparable to a meal when it comes to calories.

Atkins bars are available at large grocery stores, drug stores or health food stores. You can also buy them from a few online stores that offer Atkins bars. These stores offer a discount if you order in quantity. You can usually save a few dollars if you purchase at least a dozen.
 
It would be smart to be sure that you like them before you commit to purchasing just to save a few bucks. These types of bars do not taste like a chocolate bar, but they do serve their purpose. These bars can be an asset to your lifestyle if you are really set on following the Atkins plan.
